Many people studying for their DALF C1 French exam will simply use the indicator word que to flag when the subjonctif is required. Yes, that may be true for the greater percentage of the time, however, do not simply rely on this general rule of thumb to say that you know when to correctly apply the subjonctif.

We recommend that within your personal learning plan to prepare for your DALF C1 exam that you focus on the two following verbs – falloir et vouloir. It will be valuable to know more, however, if the subjonctif is new to you then be sure to master falloir et vouloir because they can be used in numerous responses to demonstrate your advanced level of French communication.
